Join us Thursday 13 April 2023 from 4.30PM as we learn more about the experiments, exhibitions and creations our Artists in Residence are working on during their visit to Canberra Glassworks.
This artist talk will be held at Canberra Glassworks and there will be an opportunity to chat with the glass community in the last half hour after the talk. Everyone is welcome and there are absolutely no silly questions. We are all here to learn.
THE ARTIST
Living and working on Ngunnawal & Ngambri courntry (Canberra), Lisa Sammut’s practice encompasses sculpture, light, video and installation. Using a wide range of media, her poetic works explore and oscillate between themes of perspective, belonging, connection and time to bring the human condition and cosmic forces into close relationship.
"I am most looking forward to imagining new possibilities for my work and exploring the interaction between glass, light, images, kinetic elements, mirrored and reflective surfaces.
