Part of the inaugural South West Biennial 2026, Tracework brings together 28 artists from across Western Australia’s South West, exploring the idea of trace — through marks, memory, material, place and connection.

Lyn Nixon’s Pernicious explores family, memory and the lasting scars of alcohol-related trauma, transforming childhood photographs onto ceramic gin bottles. Deidre Robb uses textiles and stitching to reflect on peace, conflict and healing. James Walker explores the drama and aftermath of fire, smoke and the landscape.
