The Lester Prize Artist Workshop with Desiree Crossing

The Lester Prize is one of Australia’s most prestigious portraiture prizes—an award that places artists and the community proudly front and centre. This year, we are very excited to share that City of Stirling Artists have the chance to participate in a workshop with Mt Lawley artist Desiree Crossing, who received the Baldock Family People's Choice Award at the 2021 Lester Prize.

This workshop will provide you with both the knowledge and practical skills to mix interesting, vibrant and realistic skin tones with confidence. Using basic colours found in most painting palettes, you will learn how to identify which colours to use and have the opportunity to put your new skills into practice during the class.
