Community Day of Solidarity - Printing for Palestine

Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Printmaking has long had its root in activism, as an easy way to make multiples print has and will always belong to the people 🙌

This is a free community event organised by local artist Bea Buckland-Willis at Reverse Garbage (Marrickville) to get together in solidarity and show our support for the Palestinian people as artists and makers. Due to accessibility/monetary barriers it can be difficult for some members of our community to get out to protests and/or donate to the cause - this does not mean they can not call out for justice 🍉

One way we can support these causes is raising our voices as artists and makers in solidarity - so please come join us for a day of printing and painting! This will involve teaching some basic skills so that you can produce your own prints at home.

Please bring along anything you would like to print on. There will be some basic materials provided (some paper, ink, markers and paints) as well as all of the amazing reuse items RG sells to purchase if you need to get supplementary supplies. We will be designing and relief printing:
~ posters
~ flyers
~ t-shirts
~ totes
to take home/take to protests/give out to the community 🙌

This event is accessibility friendly, if you have any specific questions or concerns please feel free to contact the host. ❤️ No hate speech or intolerance of any kind will be tolerated x
