Shannon is a community-driven suicide prevention music video project created to encourage hope, connection and help-seeking.

Developed over more than two years, the project brought together approximately 100 local participants, creatives, businesses and supporters from Yallingup, Dunsborough and Busselton. Many of those involved had no previous experience in front of the camera, making Shannon a genuine community effort.

Since its release in March 2026, Shannon has been viewed more than 200,000 times online and has been featured by Channel 7, ABC Radio and Triple M. In a remarkably short period of time, the project has also received international recognition, winning the Best Song Award at the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA), receiving an Honorable Mention at the Europe Music Video Awards, and being selected for the Cannes World Film Festival.

What began as a local initiative has now developed into an opportunity to reach and support people on a much larger scale. The response to Shannon has shown just how deeply this message resonates, and now is the time to build on that momentum to ensure it reaches even more people who may need hope, connection and encouragement to seek help.

Your support will help us continue promoting Shannon, expanding its reach through community engagement, media opportunities and film festivals, so that more people can be encouraged to seek help and know they are not alone.

After payment processing fees, 100% of funds received by Artists for Suicide Prevention will be allocated to delivering and promoting the Shannon project.
