Join us for a special fundraising event with local writers and artists in solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria. As members of the diasporic and international community, it has been devastating to witness the impact of this deadly earthquake, which has killed more than 50,000 people.

Turkish Australian writer Deniz Ağraz has curated this intimate event, which will feature live performances by musicians, writers and artists. The night will close with a special screening of short film by Turkish Australian filmmaker Lara Köse, whose film Kaya will be featured in the upcoming SWANA Film Festival as part of its coverage of local diasporic cinema.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to BOYUT and SAMS in equal amounts. Click on the links for more info about these organisations:

The Finishing School are auspicing and providing in-kind support of this event, with ALL proceeds from the event to be donated to BOYUT and SAMS in equal amounts.
