Melbourne-based pianist and composer Russell Tay graduated from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music (Monash University) with first-class honours, winning the prize for Best Overall Student and the Bornstein Jazz Piano prize. His trio, featuring Alex Spicer (drums) and Anton Schulz (double bass), has performed both locally and internationally. With a penchant for the American straight-ahead jazz tradition, the group's recent Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans tribute shows have sold-out venues across Melbourne. Join the trio for a night of exceptional jazz music filled with soulful grooves and captivating improvisations.
