Burlesque is a historied art form, which repressed peoples have sought out as catharsis for the political, social, and physical subjugations of the world. Burlesque and Draglesque dancers and performers, much like in drag, seek to make political ideas and philosophical narratives sexy, mysterious, and often downright comedic.
