This practical, interactive workshop explores how to make arts spaces more accessible through inclusive communication, building access, and everyday practices that encourage safer, more welcoming creative environments. Together, we'll discuss barriers to participation, share practical strategies, and explore simple, meaningful changes that can make a lasting difference for artists, audiences and communities.

Whether you're an artist, arts worker, venue manager, educator or community organiser, you'll leave with practical tools and greater confidence to create spaces that centre access, inclusion and belonging.

Taylor Holmes - Get Real International

Taylor Holmes is a counsellor, facilitator, professional development educator and program manager who leads Get Real Internationals NDIA-funded Peer-Led Grant. She holds a Master of Counselling, is an ACA Level 2 registered counsellor, and is an accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Taylor specialises in neuroaffirming practice and develops and delivers professional development for practitioners, educators, support workers, families, and community organisations seeking to strengthen their neuroaffirming knowledge and practice. She works alongside children, adolescents, and adults living with disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and complex health conditions, as well as their families and unpaid carers.

Informed by both professional expertise and her lived experience of disability and neurodivergence, Taylor understands the importance of compassionate, person-centred, and individualised support. She is passionate about creating safe and supportive environments that recognise each person’s communication needs, experiences, and strengths while addressing the social and environmental barriers that can affect wellbeing and participation.

With more than a decade of experience in drama, musical theatre, and creative education, Taylor brings a strong understanding of storytelling, expression, and connection to her work. Whether providing one-on-one counselling, facilitating peer-led groups and community programs, or incorporating creative approaches into her practice, she is dedicated to helping people navigate challenges, build confidence, strengthen connections, and embrace their individual strengths.

Georgina Bullock - Indelarts

Georgina Bullock possesses over six years of experience with indelarts, where she currently holds the position of Programs Manager and Community Liaison. In her capacity at indelarts, Georgina has successfully implemented accessible performing arts training programs throughout South East Queensland, including the Redlands, Logan, Toowoomba, and Brisbane regions.

She holds a Bachelor of Drama and Theatre Studies and a Master of Marketing, with postgraduate research that concentrated on audience development for disability-centred theatre performances. Her thesis titled, “‘Disability-Centered Performances are for Everyone’: Motivations and Barriers for Purchasing Tickets to Disability-Centered Theatre Performance in Australia”, focuses on the barriers individuals encounter when engaging with disability arts, and strategies that can be implemented to create a sustainable future for artists with disability.

Georgina is committed to fostering meaningful community engagement, and regularly consulting with the disability community to ensure that indelarts’ programs adhere to best practice standards. As a proud neurodivergent arts practitioner, she is committed to providing safe, inclusive, and impactful opportunities for the often overlooked disability community.
