Support your child’s development through creativity at our brand new Arts & Crafts Playgroup, designed to build fine motor skills, confidence, and curiosity through engaging, age-appropriate craft and art-based activities.
Led by Lin, a much-loved kindergarten teacher and art education specialist, this playgroup blends evidence-based early childhood techniques with hands-on fun—perfect for curious little minds and busy little hands.
This program provides a welcoming, calm, and creative space for children and their caregivers to explore, learn, and thrive.
What to Expect Each Week:
🖍️ Creative Art & Craft Activities
Children aged 0–4 will enjoy sensory-rich craft activities designed to support fine motor development through drawing, cutting, painting, gluing, and shaping. Lin uses early education best practices to ensure each child learns through play in a safe and structured environment.
✏️ Pre-Literacy Drawing Focus for Ages 4–5
Children closer to school age will enjoy more refined drawing activities focused on lines, shapes, and form—introducing early writing skills through artistic expression and confidence-building techniques.
📚 Story Time & Music Integration
Each session includes gentle music and book reading while the children create—offering a well-rounded, soothing experience that promotes language development and emotional regulation.
🧸 A Calm, Child-Centred Environment
This is not a chaotic paint-splatter session—Lin designs each class to be developmentally thoughtful and organised, while still encouraging joy and imagination in every child.
Who Runs the Sessions?
Your facilitator, Lin, is a bilingual Mandarin and English speaker with years of experience in early childhood education, including art and kindergarten teaching. Known for her kind and nurturing approach, Lin also teaches in our Year 3 Kindergarten Program and is deeply passionate about children's creative development.
She specialises in early years education, particularly in helping children build foundational skills that support future learning. Lin’s bilingual ability also makes this group especially welcoming for newly arrived Mandarin-speaking families who may need extra language support.
