Event description

Join our Arts Creative Lab and come explore drawing, painting, sculpting, and more to create wonderful original art.

Class meets for 5 weeks, every Wednesday 4pm-5:30pm, November 5, 12, 19 (no class 11/26 due to Thanksgiving break), 12/3 and 12/10, 2025.

Winter Holidays Around the World – In this festive and creative art unit, students will celebrate the spirit of the winter holiday season by exploring a variety of holidays from around the world. Through hands-on projects, students will learn about the cultural traditions and symbols of holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, or Lunar New Year. Each lesson will focus on a different holiday, incorporating storytelling, music, and traditional art forms to inspire student creations. Projects may include holiday cards, festive lanterns, symbolic ornaments, and seasonal crafts using a range of materials and techniques. This class fosters creativity, cultural appreciation, and the joy of giving through art.

Explore your creativity in this multi-media class, appropriate for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Please dress for mess, as paint smudges may always be part of our fun art classes!  (we do provide an apron for class use).  All materials included.  Classes are in Bee Cave Arts Foundation gallery, in suite F160, across from H&M and Dillard's in the Hill Country Galleria.

Come learn with our fabulous instructor Petra!
Petra has lived on three continents, and this is reflected in her work. Images from Africa, the Middle East and Texas are recurring themes in her art. Her favorite medium is soft pastels, closely followed by mixed media and acrylics. Petra is still taking art courses, exploring new ways of expressing herself through her art. "I don't think I will ever stop learning - there is always room for improvement."
