Event description

The Arts Enterprise is an art and entrepreneurship based program where groups of students have worked together to create a social enterprise with the mission of ‘Improving arts participation amongst youth’.

On the 6th May 2024, the Pitch Event will present upcoming entrepreneurs launching new business ideas into today's world.

Empowered young people who are adding purpose to their entrepreneurial pursuits deserve to be supported and their student voice heard by the Australian public.

To help understand their journey, the entrepreneurial workshops provided opportunities for students to consistently collaborate, reaching a common goal with peers they normally would not interact with, but through resilience have brought together like-minded young people.

The participants of the Arts Enterprise have increased their confidence and developed leadership skills.

This event is supported by the Big Brothers Big Sisters AmCham Leadership Council - https://bigbrothersbigsisters.... and is the second year of successful candidates launching unique ideas from the Arts Enterprise.

Last year, each group successfully presented their arts business concepts to a live panel including Jon Michail (Group CEO of Image Group International), Deborah Halpern OAM (Leading Australian Sculpture) and Niv Dagan (Founder & Executive Director at Peak Asset Management).

The Arts Enterprise had the success of teams being sponsored by business people in the real world and today, continue to build and develop their entrepreneurship journeys.

Come and witness the courage of dynamic young men taking charge of the business industry.

Testimonials from students in 2023:

"I was interested in entrepreneurship before I applied..., and this program really set me on the path of entrepreneurship through my first product. It has given me opportunities I never thought I could have."

'Fuelled my passion for entrepreneurship'

'I was interested in entrepreneurship before I applied to Arts Enterprise, and this program really set me on the path of entrepreneurship through my first product. It has given me opportunities I never thought I could have.'

'Arts Enterprise for me personally was both a great opportunity for teamwork where individuals can work towards a common entrepreneurial goal, yet also to have been able to create ideas in which can benefit the future generations through business. Its provisions of well-trained and organized staff, as well as connections to established business people, therefore, outlines the rare environment for entrepreneurship flourishes.'
