Arts For All Canterbury Network regional hui
Description
Attend the Arts For All Canterbury Network hui on Tuesday 26 May from 10:00am-12:30pm at The Court Theatre in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
Arts For All Network regional hui are an annual opportunity for local artists, arts workers and arts lovers to get together to connect and share goals, plans and ideas about increasing access in the arts to Deaf and disabled people. The disabled-led hui is hosted by Katie Querin, Arts For All Activator| Whakahohe a Toi Oritetanga from Arts Access Aotearoa.

Katie will share a presentation and updates about arts accessibility in Aotearoa, and we will hear from several Arts For All Network members to learn what's happening with arts accessibility in the Canterbury region, and how we can combine our efforts to make the biggest impact.
Who is the hui for?
Anyone working in, curious or passionate about accessibility and inclusion in the arts in the Canterbury region, including organisations, Deaf and disabled people and non-disabled people. You don't have to be an Arts For All Network member- all are welcome.
What is the hui like?
Join a relaxed, welcoming session for people with extensive lived experience and people completely new to arts accessibility, and everyone in between. Connect with individuals and organisations all working to make the arts more accessible to Deaf and disabled people. With plenty of time for learning, sharing and networking, it's a great opportunity to share your mahi, advocate to decision makers, and brainstorm how we can remove barriers in both small and big ways.
Tea and biscuits are provided, and there's no cost to attend. Please share this invite with anyone who you think may like to come.
Accessibility
The hui space is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilets, and the presentation will be audio described. Attendees are welcome to bring fidget toys, comfort items, and whatever they need to be comfortable. Service dogs are welcome. If you are bringing a support person, please let me know when you register.
NZSL interpreters may be available- if you require an NZSL interpreter, please let me know ASAP so I can book them.

This workshop is hosted by Katie Querin, Whakahohe a Toi Ōritetanga / Arts For All Activator for Arts Access Aotearoa. Katie is a disabled person who has a background working in theatre and performing arts accessibility, and she brings both lived and professional experience to the workshop.

- Getting there
The hui will be at The Court Theatre on 129 Gloucester Street, Christchurch Central, Christchurch 8011. The space is wheelchair accessible. There's no dedicated parking at The Court Theatre, so please check out the parking and bus options available on The Court Theatre website. There are also two designated mobility parks outside the building on Gloucester Street (50 meters from the main entrance). - Travel contribution for Deaf and disabled attendees
