Event description

***ARTY’S PARTY No 8***

On World Vegan Day – Go to the National Animal Rights March, then stay for the comedy.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of laughter, music, poetry and compassion as we celebrate World Vegan Day and raise vital funds for the animals rescued by Arty’s Angels and their sanctuary partners.

Every laugh, every cheer, and every donation tonight helps support the hundreds of animals rescued from slaughter and given a safe place to live the rest of their lives. So bring your biggest smiles, open hearts — and if you can, open wallets — to make a real difference. Let’s come together to celebrate compassion on this special day and make this a night to remember!

Venue – Thenga Café, 120 Cromer Street, Kings Cross, London, WC1H 8BS

Why not come early and have some amazing food. Check out the menu here Menu - Thenga Cafe . They will be staying open all evening serving drinks and snacks at the intervals.

Carla Brown

An Essex stand-up with a top degree in comedy writing - meaning she’s not just funny, she’s qualified funny. Having performed at venues across the UK, she combines sharp observational humour with a confident stage presence, making her a rising voice on the comedy circuit.

Dawn Chorus
Dawn Chorus is the award-winning vegan comedy diva bringing big laughs, bold parodies, and unapologetic plant-powered sass to the stage. Mixing musical mayhem with razor-sharp satire, Dawn is fast becoming one of the most distinctive voices in UK comedy. Good thing for comedy.” - Paul ‘Silky’ White

Helen

A very popular regular at our parties. She has a high-speed delivery, a great stage presence and always entertains.

Kelly Edgar

An emerging comic oddball with a talent for outlandish storytelling and a penchant for trouble.

Felt Nowt New Act of the Year winner, So You Think You're Funny semi-finalist and Brighton Komedia New Comedian semi-finalist, Newcastle Fringe Festival Audience Choice Award winner 2025. She is a regular panellist on the Newcastle Stand’s ‘Nerds Just Wanna Have Fun’ live show.

‘A true comedian. Funny bones. Chaotic. Silly. And proper gags. A joy to watch.’ -Laura Smyth

‘One of the most distinctive new acts in the region in years.’ -NARC Magazine

Malli Malpass

"Malli is a stand-up comic based in South Wales. A fiercely proud vegan, Queer (Non binary) metalhead. They have been described as "A unique new act with a big presence that grabs the attention of the audience" - Bev Owens (Ray Tuner Comedy Awards) and "Charismatic, honest and most importantly funny" - Chris Chopping.

Malli also featured as "Metalhead" on five seasons of BBC2's The Ranganation, hosted by Romesh Ranganathan."

Paul Holroyd

Paul Holroyd is NOT a comedian! He's a poet although some of his poetry could be called 'laughable'. He's best known within the vegan community for his animal rights poems from the book series "GreenBeard's Vegan Verse", none of these poems could be considered funny. Luckily he does attempt other poetic subjects and although many of the ones he intends to be funny turn out quite sad he does fluke a few. It will be the 'funny flukes' you will be subjected to on the night.

Why we are doing this.

In December 2023 Arty's Angels, a wonderful group of animal activists and sanctuaries, rescued 268 farm animals that were destined for the slaughter house. All the sanctuaries did an incredible job to bring them into their care, but now they have a lot of new mouths to feed. All profits from the show and any donations raised will be passed on to these amazing places to help them keep up the dedicated work they do. So please come with lots of cash, credit cards and big hearts. You can also support them directly at :-
