Description
Come and celebrate the launch of as i am, the debut poetry collection from Steve Cotterill. This book is about Steve’s journey to reclaiming his sovereignty and learning to accept himself, while moving on the spiral of his journey.
This special FOVA26 event invites you to gather for an intimate evening with Steve, where he will read from as i am and discuss his journey with bringing this book to life. There will be space for discussion, connection, sharing and creating over some drinks and nibbles.
This book is currently available for pre-order, you can purchase your copy through the ANVAM website here, and collect at the book launch.
About the author:
Steve Cotterill is the inaugural Poet Laureate for the Australian Veteran & Veteran Family Community. He is a creative with a love of words, be they written, spoken or sung, and a love of photography & his growing photography business, Lens of Orion. He draws inspiration from the natural and animate world all around us, and his creativity feels like a conduit through which the essence of this world can flow through.
Steve served in the Army as a cavalryman for 14 years and has been connected with ANVAM since late 2021.

This event is part of the Festival of Veterans Arts (FOVA).
FOVA is a celebration of the creativity and artistic practices of current and former-serving members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and families of current and former-serving members of the ADF.
