Great for gardeners and nature enthusiasts alike, this session offers inspiration and practical steps to help attract native butterflies into people’s backyards. This workshop will provide you with practical tips to attract, identify and sustain native butterflies at home.

Topics include:

How to design butterfly-friendly gardens
Host plants for caterpillars and nectar plants for butterflies
Common native butterfly species in your area
Simple garden features to support butterflies (e.g. water, shelter, sunning spots)

Based on Kaurna Country on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Habitat Connection Co. helps people reconnect with nature by creating gardens that support native wildlife and strengthen local biodiversity. Founded by Hannah Jones, a conservation and horticulture professional with over twelve years’ experience in consulting, design and environmental education, Habitat Connection Co. brings together a passion for native plants, ecology, and inspiring others to care for the natural world.
