Event description

Are you interested in a career in Early Childhood Education and Care? Communities at Work's Ascend Program may be the pathway for you!

Our Ascend Program is an industry-leading traineeship that enables selected candidates to earn while they learn. This means that Ascend trainees gain valuable paid work experience while completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (which is the minimum requirement to become an educator in the sector).

Register for the Information Session if:

  • You want to get a job in Early Childhood Education and Care and have no qualifications in the sector
  • You meet the eligibility requirements to enrol into the program (ex. eligible visa holder). Check requirements on our website here.
  • You want to gain valuable paid full-time work experience while studying an entry-level qualification in the sector (earn while you learn).

The information session will also give you a chance to ask any questions so you can make informed decisions regarding your options and career pathways.

Please note that we will also be conducting a Language, Literacy & Numeracy Assessment (LLN) on the same day as the Information Session. You must pass the LLN if you wish to progress your application for the Ascend Program.

Our next Ascend Program intake starts in September 2022. Applications close on 24 June 2022 (as the intensive selection process will go on for about 2 months). We are conducting one Information Session every week for the duration of June. Please note that if you are unable to attend one of the information sessions and sit for the LLN, your application will not be progressed further for the program.
