Keep Australia Beautiful has been running the Australian Sustainable Communities Tidy Towns Awards for almost fifty years as a means of encouraging, motivating and celebrating the sustainability achievements of rural and regional communities across Australia.

In addition to recognising these achievements, the awards event offers representatives from across the country an opportunity to network and exchange ideas with others from community, industry and government sectors.

Each year the awards dinner and associated activities are hosted by the previous year’s winner. The town of Hastings in Victoria was named the 2021 Australian Tidy Town winner and as such, will be our hosts for the 2022 Awards Weekend.

The weekend will commence on Friday 29 July with registration, followed by case studies and a welcome function. On Saturday morning we begin with a workshop at the Hastings Community Hall and present some of the category winners along with some inspiring case studies and a presentation from Hastings to be followed by lunch. After lunch there is an opportunity to join a fabulous tour around Hastings.

The festivities will continue on Saturday evening with the announcement of the remaining category winners and the overall winner at the awards presentation dinner at 6.30pm being held at Toscano's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar.

Bookings will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation. All fees are in Australian Dollars $AUD and are inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Cancellations to your registration must be advised in writing to awards@kab.org.au. Cancellations received 7 or more working days prior to the event will receive a full refund, cancellations received after this date will not receive a refund, however, we will accept attendee name changes at any time leading up to the event.
