Session 1 9.00 - 10.00am: Are you interested in knowing more about becoming a principal?

Listen to 2 Principal who have recently taken up their positions,

We will ask them to share insights about things such as:

• What excites you most about being a Principal?

• What surprised you most about the transition from Deputy Principal to Principal?

• What did you have to unlearn from your time as a Deputy Principal?

• Where have you felt the biggest shift in pressure or accountability?

• What decisions feel heavier now—and why?

• What leadership habits have you had to intentionally build?

• What does “letting go” look like now compared to when you were a Deputy?

• What boundaries have you had to create to sustain yourself?

• What parts of the job align most strongly with your values—and which challenge them?

• What have been your biggest learning curves so far?

• What advice would you give your “Deputy Principal self” now?
