Softly dark and excitingly tender, ash felt (Cormac Alves-Perini and Tallulah Grace) blurs the lines of folk and electronica, creating a sonic vessel to a strangely comforting darkness. The duo finds the surreal in the mundane, blending raw arrangements with heady beats and modular synthesisers. Focused, poignant songwriting lies at the heart of the project, and the balance of intimate lyrics in a novel soundscape captures the nostalgia of the new age.
Opening the night is Two Folk (Anton Schulz, Angus Devereux), a charming duo taking the tradition of classic folk songs into the modern age.
