Ashley Rakahuri River Clean Up

Come down and join Waimakariri Youth Council, Ashley Rakahuri River Care Group, Environment Canterbury, Eco Educate, 4WD Club, Keep Rangiora Beautiful, Rangiora Rotary and the Rangiora Tramping Club on Saturday 21st September on the Ashley Rakahuri River. 

Please register through this site so we know who is attending for Health & Safety purposes. If you are under 16 and attending the event, you will need a parent or a caregiver to attend with you.  

What to bring:

• Sturdy covered shoes 
• Drink bottle
• Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions e.g. sunhat, rain jacket
• Gloves (some gloves will be available) 

Event location: 

Groyne Two, behind Rangiora Airfield, Merton Road - See map below. 

Event timing: 

• 10:00 am - Health and Safety Briefing
• 10:15 am - Clean up begins
• 12:00 pm - Free sausage sizzle available
• 1:00 pm - Home time

There will be a portaloo and water bottle refill station available onsite. 

Unfortunately, no four legged friends are allowed at this event, due to the bird life in the groyne areas.  

Make sure that you download the Snap, Send, Solve app prior to the event.
