Join Michelle Freeman for a comprehensive 4-week introduction to the Ashtanga Yoga method—designed especially for beginners who want to build a strong foundation and gain the confidence to step into a Mysore-style class.
Each week, Michelle will break down the fundamentals of the Ashtanga Primary Series, focusing on alignment, breath, and the traditional vinyasa count. You’ll learn step-by-step how to approach postures safely and mindfully, along with modifications to suit all levels of mobility and strength.
Throughout the course, you’ll be introduced to:
* Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara A & B)
* Foundational standing and seated postures
* Breath (Ujjayi), bandhas (internal locks), and drishti (gaze)
* The method of self-practice and how Mysore-style works
* Building a sustainable home practice
By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to navigate a Mysore room, begin a personal practice, and continue your journey with clarity and support.
