Volunteer Registration: Annual Ashura Walk – Sydney 2025

Join us in commemorating the legacy of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) at the Annual Ashura Walk in Sydney — a peaceful public procession reflecting on the message of Imam Hussain.
This year’s walk will take place on Sunday, 6 July 2025, beginning at the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park and continuing through the heart of the city.

We are looking for passionate and reliable volunteers to help make this meaningful event a safe, organised, and spiritually uplifting experience for all.

Please feel free to invite your family and friends to also register to volunteer!

You can also use the registration link to donate to the running costs of the walk (all donations over $2 are tax deductible).

🙋‍♂️ Volunteer Roles:

We need male and female volunteers for each of the following roles:

• Crowd guidance and safety marshals (150+ volunteers needed)

• Audio and technical team (40 volunteers needed)

• First aid (for certified volunteers) (5 volunteers needed)

• Advocacy and public engagement (training required) (35 volunteers needed)

🕒 Volunteer Commitment:

• Briefing and setup: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

• Main event: 8:00 AM – 9:45 AM

• Pack-down and debrief: 10:00 AM

A certificate of appreciation will be provided to registered volunteers.
