Asia After Five — New Waves: Arts Report Launch

This event has passed RSVP

Event description

About the event

Join us for the Wellington launch of a new report by Rosabel Tan for the Asia New Zealand Foundation, New Waves: Meeting the Growing Hunger for Asian Art in Aotearoa.

Hear from Rosabel and the Foundation's Director Arts, Craig Cooper, on the growing unmet demand for art and entertainment — from traditional forms of theatre to K-pop and contemporary visual art — from Asia in New Zealand. The report includes recommendations for policymakers in the creative sectors as well as artists and art programmers seeking to deepen engagement with Asia and make the most of the exciting opportunities emerging in Asia.

This event will follow our usual Asia After Five format — where we blend Asia-focused discussion with an evening of drinks, nibbles and making connections.

Date/time: Tuesday, 30 April, 5:30-7:30pm
Venue:
Level 16, Fujitsu Tower, 141 The Terrace

Tickets are limited. Please RSVP by Friday, 19 April 2024.
