Event description

On Thursday 5 September, Pride in Law NSW and the Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA), hosted by our valued sponsor Ashurst, are collaborating to bring you a special event in honour of Wear it Purple Day

Wear it Purple was originally founded by students in response to global stories of LQBTIQA+ teenagers suffering severe mental health impacts due to bullying and harassment. Now, Wear it Purple Day has become an international rainbow movement of love and support.

Join us for an engaging discussion and networking session focused on promoting LGBTIQA+ inclusivity in the workplace and beyond. Special guest, Alex Greenwich MP (he/him) will join speakers Matt Floro (he/him) (National President, AALA) and Miku Nakamura (she/they) (NSW Community Officer, Pride in Law) for a fireside chat to discuss their experiences and insights on the importance of creating supportive environments for LGBTIQA+ youth, impacts of their race and sexuality in their career paths, and the positive impact of inclusive practices.

Following the discussion, please join us for a networking reception, where you can connect with other like-minded individuals committed to making a difference.

Attendees are invited to make a small donation to support Wear it Purple's incredible work. Donations can be made either at the event, or via www.wearitpurple.org/donate
