A very common phrase heard across Australia from hairdressers, salons owners, employers and trainers.
Post-pandemic, our lives as Business Owners will never be the same. Many of us returned to the salon floor to salvage the work we have put in throughout our careers as successful owners. We have had to diversify our business strategies, change our expectations and most of all start rebuilding our teams.
It is no secret that we have seen a declining interest in our industry – those entering have declined, numbers leaving have increased and experienced hairdressers have left traditional salon floor roles to become single owner/operators. The idea of carrying the burden of financial responsibilities in salons due to the lack of technically experienced juniors is just too much too handle?
