ASRC Volunteer Open Night 2026
Description
Explore what volunteering at the ASRC is all about.
Join us for our Volunteer Open Night and gain a deeper understanding of how our community comes together to support people seeking asylum. This event is designed for those interested in meaningful volunteer opportunities, as well as anyone wanting to learn more about the work we do.
Volunteers are embedded across every aspect of the ASRC’s work. That’s why we take a people-first approach to volunteering, encouraging you to bring your skills, experiences and interests to make a meaningful and lasting contribution.
About the event
This event is designed to give you a clear understanding of what’s involved, what’s possible and where you might fit. Whether you’re exploring volunteering for the first time or looking to get more involved in your community, we’d love to see you there.
Join us from 6pm at the ASRC in Footscray for an evening of connection and insight. You’ll hear from a lineup of speakers, take part in a panel discussion and meet people from across our teams while learning more about the opportunities available.
About our volunteer program
More than 500 dedicated volunteers play a critical role across the organisation, contributing to essential services, supporting program delivery and helping to create a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the ASRC who work across 40 individual programs, from foodbank and community meals, to legal and casework support, to education, employment and health services, and are central to making the work we do possible.
