This workshop series focuses on using a variety of evidence-based assessment strategies that enable participants to track learners’ progress. It enables the participants to plan, construct, and use assessment approaches that are appropriate to their teaching context.

​​By the end of this workshop participants will be able to…Â
- Apply the key vocabulary, purposes, functions, and principles of high-quality assessment to different forms of assessment.
- ​Develop assessment and evaluation strategies that are aligned with learning outcomes through valid and reliable assessments that document and support student learning.
- ​Develop an authentic performance assessment and a high-quality rubric, following evidence-based design principles.
- ​Evaluate the alignment between high quality assessment tasks, rubrics, and assessment for learning through feedback to peers.
- ​Apply the principles of effective feedback to give, receive, and implement peer feedback.
