Assistive technology is essential for some and can benefit all by providing content in various formats to suit preferences or settings and tools to boost productivity.
In this session:
- you will learn some background information about Screen Reader software and how it’s being utilised by people with little or no vision. The speaker will also demonstrate the potential benefit of emerging AI tools for screen reader users to access description of images, including graphs and charts.

Boost your awareness of what needs to be considered when working with or teaching someone who uses Read and Write software, screen readers (i.e. know which materials are accessible or not, the length of your signature, sharing pictures on chat platforms, etc.) and knowing some new developments of AI tools, you can share your new knowledge with colleagues and students.
