Event description

Assistive Technology for Vision Impairment

Learn about technology that can help people with vision impairments.

There are a range of tools, products and technology available to assist people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose.  Whether in the workplace, school, university or at home there are many solutions that can minimise the barriers people who are blind or have low vision face.  Assistive technology, (also known as adaptive technology) are devices, apps, aids or equipment that help people living with vision impairment to live independently. It can help make everyday living easier or safer, such as reading, communicating and getting around to different places.

Anne from See Differently will be also giving a 'show & tell' on some of this technology - it's one you don't want to miss!
