Assyrian Martyrs Day, also known as Assyrian Remembrance Day, is traditionally held on 7 August. This day aims to commemorate Assyrian victims of genocide, persecution, and oppression throughout history.

Since its inception, The Young Assyrians (TYA) has held annual commemorations to mark this solemn event. These commemorations aim to demonstrate the organisation’s unwavering commitment to promoting education, advocating for recognition, and driving accountability for those directly involved in committing such atrocities and their collaborators.

We are a youth-led organisation that aims to educate and empower young people on issues affecting the Assyrian nation in their Traditional Homeland (Assyria) and globally.

The Young Assyrians (TYA) seek to provide a platform through which young people can actively lobby for the human rights of the Assyrian people. Additionally, we provide youth with a platform to both engage with and generate sources of academia to further the literary discourse surrounding the Assyrian plight and oppose sources which seek to mislead and misinform.
