ASVC Halloween Bash 2026

👻Summoning all ghouls, goblins, and volleyball fiends for our Halloween BASH 🏐

This is our annual social tournament and club fundraiser that brings together players from all over Australia in celebration of diversity and LGBTQIA+ volleyball in South Australia. This is a whole-day event with a raffle and awards presentation dinner following the tournament. 

Expect wicked rallies, hauntingly good vibes, and killer prizes for the best costumes!

NEW! - Adelaide Spikers C-Social Team

• We are taking individual registrations for an Adelaide Spikers C-Social team. This is on a first-in-first-served basis and is capped at 8 players.

• To register you must be a 2026 ASVC Member. Please use your 2026 membership access code (same as your weekly access code)

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• ELIGIBILITY  - Mixed gender teams are NOT compulsory. the minimum age is 14. Participants aged 16+ may play in all grades. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied/supervised by ONE guardian PER PLAYER.

  ALL registered players must hold a current Volleyball SA Social Membership (as a minimum), or the relevant interstate equivalent, to ensure all players are covered for insurance purposes. To help speed up the check-in process on the day, please provide your VSA number at checkout if you already have one. No unregistered individuals will be cleared to play.

• GRADES - B, C+ and C-Social grades available. There are no restrictions around the composition of teams as long as all players meet the above eligibility criteria.

  In order to facilitate a balanced competition, teams may be bumped up or down depending on the final fixture.

  Approx guide to grade levels:

  B GRADE	Very experienced - typically plays A-B grade social or above
  C+ GRADE	Fairly experienced - typically plays B-C grade social
  C-SOCIAL GRADE	Not so experienced - typically plays C grade social or lower - designed to be more social than competitive

• REGISTRATION - Please enter ALL SIX players when registering a team to secure a spot. Additional players can be purchased using the 'Additional Player Ticket' however, please note additional players will not be guaranteed a medal as medals have been ordered well in advance and are subject to availability based on the number of participants each year.

• ENTRIES - close Sunday 18th of October 2026 5:00pm. Team registrations are first-in-first-served.

• SPECTATORS  - Spectators are welcome throughout the day for free, and have the option to purchase a 'Spectator with Lunch' ticket to receive the catered lunch.

• LUNCH - Catering is included in the ticket price, meaning all paid-up players will be accounted for, and any spectators that purchase a separate spectator's lunch ticket. Lunch catering to be confirmed. Players who are not wanting the catered lunch may request a no-lunch ticket, please message us directly to organise this.

• TRANSPORT - This is entirely up to the individuals, there are many affordable options including Uber and Des' Mini Bus hire. Public Transport is very limited.

• CAPTAINS MEETING - will be held at 08:30am

• DUTY - ALL teams will be required to duty some games, please allow 1st and 2nd Ref, 2 x lines people and 2 x Scorers minimum.

• UNIFORMS - team uniforms/costumes are not required but are strongly encouraged (they're fun!!)

• GAME RULES - standard FIVB rules apply to all games. C-social grade has no restrictions around interchange and may have rotating substitutions.

• PRE-TOURNAMENT OPEN COURT TRAINING - Friday 30th Oct, 6:00-8:00pm @Mt Lofty Community Sports Centre. A FREE fun, laidback open court style training and chance for teams to practice together while meeting some of the other teams. You don't need a full team to join, just come along and we'll make it work!

• PRESENTATION DINNER/AFTER PARTY- Mylk Bar (57 Flinders St, Adelaide) from 6:30pm. Awards presentation at 8pm. This a fun opportunity to mingle with other players that you met on the day!

1. AUTOMATIC REFUNDS WILL APPLY UP UNTIL OCT 18, 5PM. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROCESSED THEREAFTER UNLESS THE CANCELLING TEAM'S SLOT CAN BE FILLED. TO REFUND YOUR TICKET AUTOMATICALLY, PLEASE USE THE "MANAGE ORDER" FUNCTION IN YOUR BOOKING CONFIRMATION.

2. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR TICKET VIA YOUR BOOKING CONFIRMATION EMAIL. THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR REFUND AS OUR INBOXES ARE MONITORED BY VOLUNTEERS. IF UNABLE TO ATTEND ON THE DAY, PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP.

3. ONLY THOSE WITH A CURRENT VOLLEYBALL SA MEMBERSHIP ARE COVERED BY INSURANCE. (VSA MEMBERSHIP - $25 SOCIAL AS A MINIMUM). THIS INSURES YOU AND THE CLUB FOR PERSONAL ACCIDENT AND INJURY. PARTICIPANTS WITHOUT A VALID VSA MEMBERSHIP WILL BE ASKED TO PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP ON THE DAY OR WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY.

4. THIS IS AN INCLUSIVE SPACE WITH ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ANY VERBAL, PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL HARRASSMENT OR ABUSE. ANY SUCH BEHAVIOUR MAY RESORT IN REMOVAL FROM THE VENUE, BANNING FROM FUTURE EVENTS AND/OR ANY OTHER DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS.

5. THE EVENT IS STRICTLY AN ALCOHOL AND DRUG FREE EVENT. WE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO PLAY IF WE SUSPECT YOU MAY BE UNDER ANY INFLUENCE.

6. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF CHILDREN IN ATTENDANCE

7. THIS EVENT IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL INVOLVED.

8. THIS IS A SOCIAL EVENT WITH MIXED TEAMS & ABILITIES. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF OTHERS' ABILITIES AND BE RESPECTFUL AND INCLUSIVE TO EVERYBODY ON YOUR TEAM.

9. YOU AGREE TO PLAY SAFELY IN SUCH A WAY THAT DOES NOT POSE A SAFETY RISK TO YOURSELF OR OTHERS

10. HAVE FUN! - FEEL FREE TO SING, DANCE AROUND, TAKE FOOTAGE (WITH PERMISSION OF COURSE) AND TAG US ON SOCIALS
