At home in the gardens: Immersive experiences for all ages
Event description
At home in the gardens: Immersive experiences for all ages uses AR and VR technology to get up close and learn some of the secrets, hidden stories and rarely seen perspectives of the Botanic Gardens.
Over six months, University of South Australia students have been working on-site and with the Adelaide Botanic Gardens to create immersive experiences to show at the Nature Festival. Through engaging young creators in making these projects, they have all thought carefully about how to brings new audiences into the Gardens. Each of AR and VR experiences tells a unique story about an aspect of the Gardens that would be otherwise often unknown and unseen.
Experience the blooming night lily, see how an ancient dead tree gives new life, and experience the watery depths of the Botanic Gardens in this showcase of immersive works.
