It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 47th Australasian Transport Research Forum (ATRF) conference and the TRANSW Symposium combined event in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
ATRF 2026 be held from 24-26 November 2026 and hosted by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). This conference brings together transport researchers, data and evaluation specialists, and practitioners from across Australasia to share, advance, and sustain transport knowledge.

Transforming Transport Futures: Integrating People, Place and Technology
Transport systems are undergoing rapid change as cities and regions respond to growth, major infrastructure investment, and increasing expectations around safety, sustainability, and accessibility. Addressing these challenges requires integrated thinking that connects research, policy, and practice.
The conference will explore how transport research, data, and evaluation can inform multi-modal solutions that align transport with land use, housing, and place outcomes, while advancing safer, more resilient and sustainable mobility futures.
The program features a diverse mix of presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster constructive debate, collaboration, and innovation across the transport research and practitioner community.

- How do I register for tickets?
Payment by Card
Complete your registration online via Humanitix and pay the required conference fees straight away by Visa, Mastercard & Amex to secure your booking.
You can purchase up to 10 tickets, but must have each delegate’s information ready at time of payment.

Full Rate ($1100 inclusive of GST) includes full access to the conference sessions, day delegate catering, welcome reception and conference dinner.
Day Rate ($500 inclusive of GST) includes single-day access to conference sessions and day delegate catering. You will need to specify which conference day you will be attending.
Student Rate ($595 inclusive of GST) includes full access to the conference sessions, day delegate catering, welcome reception and conference dinner. Valid Student ID upload required.

Meet our speakers
Beau Miles
Beau Miles is having a full-blown midlife adventure crisis. Rather than have an affair or take up parkour, Beau is trying stuff he's done before, but in a whole new way. That is, he's repeating himself in an older body, with a slightly wiser mind and a blatant fear of wasting someone’s time with the result. With a string of successful films under his belt, Beau has become known for his offbeat candour, authentic insight and willingness to do ordinary things in a less than ordinary way. He's a wannabe farmer, maker of stuff from other people's junk and needs to shower more.
Lynette Cheah
Lynette Cheah is Professor and TMR Chair of Sustainable Transport at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. She leads the Sustainable Mobility research group, which develops data-driven models and tools to reduce the environmental impacts of passenger and freight transport. Her main research interests are in transport modelling and simulation, life-cycle assessments (LCA), and urban metabolism. Prof. Cheah is on the Editorial Board for npj Sustainable Mobility and Transport and Coordinating Lead Author for the United Nations IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities. She obtained her Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from MIT.
Kevin Krizek
Dr. Kevin J. Krizek is Professor of Environmental Design at the University of Colorado Boulder and a former Senior Advisor for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment at the U.S. Department of State. He analyses the role of government and how daily services are accessed by residents. Through his trainings and experiences, both domestic and international, he’s refined insights about the future of urban transport that are aspirational, practical, and evidence-based. His recent book carefully articulates a reformist urban transport planning agenda for cities grounded in accessibility, sustainability, and social justice. Other forward leaning suggestions for city policy have been shared in his TED talk, nationally published essays (1, 2, 3) and works such as The End of Traffic and the Future of Transport.
