Join us in the picturesque gold-rush town of Beechworth, Victoria from 2 - 4 May 2025 for the 2025 Keep Australia Beautiful Australian Tidy Town Awards!
Hosted by the 2024 national Tidy Towns winner, Beechworth, this event promises to be a memorable and inspiring experience where we will showcase the fantastic projects undertaken by our state finalists, learn from each other’s experiences and announce the deserving winners.

Day 1 - Friday, 2 May 2025
- 1700 - 1900: Registration and Welcome Function
Enjoy a relaxed evening with opportunity to network with fellow participants.
Each person is responsible for the payment of their own meals and drinks.
Day 2 - Saturday, 3 May 2025
- 0930 - 1200: Finalist Case Study Presentations
Presentations by each State Finalist of some of the inspiring projects that contributed to them being named Overall Winner for their state
Light refreshments will be provided - 1200 - 1300 Lunch at your Leisure
Take your time to wander through the charming town centre, peruse the variety of unique shops, and savor the flavors of one of Beechworth’s delightful cafes or restaurants - 1300 - 1500 Beechworth Town Tour
Sponsored by Indigo Shire Council- The Beechworth Courthouse is currently home to The Kelly Trials Exhibition which provides an immersive 270-degree, wrap-around multimedia experience, telling the stories of crime and punishment, governance and law, and bushranger Ned Kelly. After the digital presentation guests will have time to explore the remainder of the building with its original furniture and fixtures as well as the incredible new exhibits on display.
- The Burke Museum is one of the oldest in Australia and is proudly known as “the museum of museums”. It boasts a collection of over 30,000 items, many dating back over 150 years.
- The Beechworth Guided Gold Rush Walking Tour tells the story of the 1850s Gold Rush in Beechworth - once the richest alluvial goldfields in Victoria. Participants will learn the stories behind significant historic buildings, people and events that helped shape Beechworth, visiting many of the buildings associated with governance on the goldfields.
Dress: Casual with comfortable walking shoes (gentle walk over a distance of ~800m) .
- 1800 - 2200 Awards Dinner
The awards dinner will announce and celebrate this year’s Category and Overall Sustainable Communities Tidy Towns Award Winners.

- 0800 - 0900 Farewell Breakfast
