Attracting pollinators with flowering plants
Event description
Want to attract more pollinators to your garden or balcony?
Join us and learn in the beautiful setting of Rushall Community Garden. Pollinators helps to increase productivity of edible plants, minimise pests and support biodiversity.
Learn how to select and identify suitable plants which pollinators gravitate to and create a safe habitat for them to thrive. We will also cover a brief introduction to seed growing and propagation so you can share the beauty, as well as preparation, care, and maintenance of some of these plants. We will also touch on the other amazing benefits of flowering plants!
This workshop is part of Yarra City Councils’ Urban Agriculture Month celebrations, it will be held at Rushall Community Garden outside and undercover. Please dress in appropriate clothing and footwear.
Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend the workshop as we can make the place available to someone else.
