Dr Ngahuia Murphy’s transformative research reveals the multiple
ways in which Māori and other Indigenous wahine are recovering
relationships with Atua Wāhine. Writer Ataria Sharman is one of
the editors of Atua Wāhine, a collection of writing in response to
Māori goddesses; and is author of a thesis looking at the relationship
between Atua Wāhine, Mana Wahine and wāhine Māori expression.
Ngahuia and Ataria speak to writer Whiti Hereaka about the
importance of creatively connecting with the feminine divine.
