YABFest 2024

A Scratch Night presented by the ATYP Youth Advisory Board

ATYP’s Youth Advisory Board, affectionately nicknamed YABbies, is a collection of 60 young people, aged 13-26 from across Australia. Every month they meet with members of the company to discuss and inform programming, marketing and to create a community amongst them as future and current young artists.

That passion culminates in YABFest, a scratch-night-style event, produced, written, directed and performed by the YABbies. Be the first to witness captivating solo performances as well as never-before-produced scripts about royal plots, angels, rage rooms, pen licenses, waiting rooms, no hat no play policies and the first dog in space.

YABFest is an opportunity for emerging artists to present new work to an audience in a safe and inclusive environment. We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday the 14th of December at 6:30PM in The Popsy at ATYP to celebrate the work of this passionate and vibrant team of young people.

Duration — 2 acts with a 10 minute Interval - 120 minutes approximately
