Event description

Auaha Rangatahi - Welcome to a huge celebration of the next generation of youth artists in Dunedin! Proudly organized by the DYC. This Saturday gig is the third in a run of shows showcasing what the new Dunedin soundscape has to offer! The up and coming scene distilled to the very best local acts. Throughout the week events will be jampacked full of local youth art including Dancers, Artists, Performers, and Musicians!

Strawberry Jam Records is proud to present...

Velvet Strings - Velvet Strings have emerged from a strange place to play you some eloquent and opulent tunes. After being crowned EMPERORS of the Otago regional smoke-free Rockquest 2021, these dapper young chaps are out to make a name for themselves with cinematic stories told through climactic songs. Elements for every music enjoyer can be found here.

Typical Melanoma - Typical Melanoma are a Dunedin band who love playing music and having fun with it. You can't pin Typical Melanoma to a specific style or genre, but they draw from aspects of post punk and alt, all tied together with a healthy dose of rolling keyboard riffs.

Shrimp - Shrimp are a local band consisting of three meagre crustaceans. soon their music will slither its way into your ears. Shrimp had a strong run at this years Rockquest being selected for a place in the Otago regional final, solidifying their sound as an iconic staple of this generations Dunedin music scene.

Paper Frogs - Paper frogs are an alt, math pop-rock duo who take inspiration from as many genres as they can find. Their rhythmic and harmonic variety makes their songs like a fruit salad of sound.

Ghost Colored Faces - Ghost Colored Faces came from marathon Midwest Emo listening sessions, not enough sun in Dunedin NZ, and a wry nod to the increased demand for mental health support amongst their friend's. To fight the good fight the lads, and the music, are upbeat. The cure for grey days and long faces. 2 shots of pop, a swirl of alt rock and a finishing flourish of emo. Let Ghost Colored Faces lift your spirits.
