Auckland Archi-tours - Auckland Art Gallery Archive Tour

Gallery Archivist, Freya Elmer, facilitates a conversation around the lives, works and artistic heritage of May Smith and June Black, two modernist female artists from Aotearoa.

This talk draws from artist archives held in the E H McCormick Research Library Archives and supports the current exhibition Modern Women: Flight of Time. The archives showcase the rich history of practice and community created by female artists during the mid 20thcentury.
