Auckland Branch - Sustainable Funding in the Real World
Event description
The CIPS Auckland committee along with One New Zealand and Quadrent NZ invite you to a joint presentation and discussion on sustainable funding and a fascinating programme involving Quadrent and Te Rourou, the philanthropic arm of One New Zealand.
Our guest presenters on the night are Gary Nalder, General Manager NZ and Chief Sustainability Officer at Quadrent NZ and Dane McIndoe, Head of Enterprise Procurement at One New Zealand. Gary will speak about real world application of financial constructs to support business sustainability position. Dane will then share the results of an initiative he developed and piloted in Invercargill which takes donated corporate laptops due for a refresh, refurbishes them and gets them into the hands of students who need them.
Quadrent, which leases technology to businesses, was launching a new product called Greenlease, which sees them provide devices to their enterprise customers, replace them every three years, manage the e-waste or repurpose them for sale. One of its clients had several hundred laptops that were due for replacement and Quadrent was willing to donate them, helping get the pilot off the ground.
