AUCKLAND DA WORKSHOP: Presenting for Designers with Mark Easterbrook
Event description
Even the best creative work can fall at the final hurdle — the client presentation. Telling the story of your work in a compelling way and equipping your client with reasons to say yes are vital skills for anyone in the design industry. Presenting the work well helps open the door to doing the work you want to do.
What will you learn?
This workshop will provide some simple, usable advice on how to approach presentations, especially for those lacking confidence with presenting. Things we will consider include:
- Ways to structure a presentationÂ
- How to make the best use of the client’s time
- How to strike a balance between emotion and reason
- How to manage tricky questions
- How to project confidence
- What to do with disruptive personalities
Who is the workshop for?
Anyone in design who wants to brush up on their presentation skills.
What to bring with you:
Your interest, enthusiasm and your burning presentation questions. If you can, think of one positive and one negative presentation experience to share.
