The SDGs in Practice - How are we tracking? (Auckland)
Event description
Join us for our first event in Auckland for 2021!
In 2015, New Zealand joined countries from around the globe by signing up to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These are a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
How are we tracking against the goals? How can communities, businesses and government all play their part? In February, join us in Auckland to discuss the 17 goals, what they mean in practice and how New Zealand can contribute to global transitions for a better society.
Our speakers include Dr Lesley Stone, Manager Sustainability and Environment at The University of Auckland and Dewy Sacayan from Generation Zero.
The second part of the event will be a workshop facilitated by Jeff Vickers from thinkstep-anz, who have been working with organisations in New Zealand and Australia for over 20 years to enable them to succeed sustainably.
The Social Change Collective welcome all to this free event in the Auckland Community. Doors open at 6.00pm and the event will start at 6.15pm.
There is bike parking at the venue and also free street parking in the area from 6pm.
