AUES Presents: Mens' Mental Health Awareness
Event description
Men’s mental health is a critical yet often overlooked issue that deserves more attention. While mental health challenges affect people of all genders, men face unique societal pressures and stigmas that can make it harder for them to seek help.
For generations, men have been conditioned to “tough it out,” suppress their emotions and avoid seeking help. This expectation to remain strong and silent can create feelings of isolation, making it difficult to talk openly about personal struggles. Many men grapple with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma, yet often feel they must carry these burdens alone.
Join us for a meaningful and engaging event, aimed at raising awareness, breaking stigmas, and providing strategies to support men's mental well-being. Featuring various industry professionals from in and out of engineering who will discuss their challenges regarding mental health, how they dealt with it and how we can foster a culture of openness and support
Where: Engineering Building - Room 401-439
When: 17th October 2024, 6PM to 9PM
We will also be providing food on the day!
