AUFRANDE Annual Event at UNSW 2026

UNSW will be hosting the second AUFRANDE Event in Australia, a 3-day cross-disciplinary event designed for PhD candidates, academics and professional staff.

This event will focus on career planning and communication strategies for PhD candidates and will provide opportunities for networking with leading academics and industry experts.

AUFRANDE is coordinated by RMIT Europe and co-funded by the European Union. 

AUFRANDE PhD candidates are required to register and attend the 3-day event (29-30 April and 1 May 2026).

Academics and other participants are invited to attend the last day of the event (1 May 2026).

At this event, participants will have the opportunity to participate in:

Information & Training Sessions

• Attend information and training sessions designed for PhD candidates from specialist presenters

Poster Presentations

• View and participate in the poster showcase, where PhD candidates will present their research to peers, academics, industry representatives, and AUFRANDE partners.

Networking & Collaboration

• Engage in structured networking sessions with:

  • Industry partners

  • AUFRANDE representatives

  • Academic staff

  • Policy makers

  • Other PhD candidates across disciplines

• Build connections that support future collaboration, communication opportunities and career development.
