Abstract
Every organisation is adopting AI. Few are asking whether their people can still think clearly enough to govern it. Cognitive Debt is the growing gap between the speed of AI adoption and the readiness of human judgment and it compounds silently in decision quality, team capability, and governance integrity.
The session introduces The Cognitive Clarity System: a four-phase framework (Clear, Decide, Detect, Install) for restoring deliberate thinking in high-velocity environments. It maps directly to the governance, risk, and assurance challenges being navigated daily, particularly in the context of CPS 230, FAR personal accountability, and evolving AI regulation.
The talk is practical, not academic designed to give attendees a lens and a language they can apply immediately.
Lineup
Annam Munshey
Anam Munshey is a Director in Managed Services and a strategic transformation leader with extensive experience helping financial services organisations navigate complex change, strengthen operational resilience, and deliver sustainable business outcomes. Her work spans commercial strategy, governance, large-scale service delivery, and business transformation, with a strong focus on helping organisations balance innovation with accountability. In recent years, Anam has become a recognised advocate for responsible AI adoption, advising organisations on how to integrate intelligent technologies while maintaining sound governance, regulatory compliance, and human oversight. Her work explores the growing tension between rapid technological advancement and the capacity of individuals and organisations to make thoughtful, well-informed decisions. Drawing on her experience across financial services, risk, and transformation, Anam developed the Cognitive Clarity System, a practical framework designed to help leaders restore deliberate thinking and strengthen decision quality in increasingly AI-enabled environments. Her perspectives are particularly relevant for organisations navigating evolving regulatory expectations, including operational resilience, accountability, risk management, and AI governance. Anam is also the author of *The AI-Friendly Wellness Journal*, reflecting her broader interest in the relationship between human cognition, technology, and personal growth. She is passionate about helping organisations build not only smarter systems, but also stronger human judgment. In her session, Anam will introduce a practical framework for identifying and addressing the hidden costs of over-reliance on AI, providing leaders with tools and language they can immediately apply to governance, risk, assurance, and decision-making challenges.
