Do you love the inspiration of painting out in nature, or have you been wanting to take your art outside? This gathering is for you.

Join fellow artists for a relaxed morning of plein air painting at beautiful Douglas Land Conservancy conserved properties. Our second gathering will take place on the guided side of Sandstone Ranch Open Space. As this side of the open space requires a guide, we will need to wrap up by 11:00am.

We’ll start together with a brief welcome, a few inspiration thoughts and prompts, then artists will disperse to paint independently in the landscape. This is not an instructional class, but rather an opportunity for artists to create alongside others while enjoying the beauty of conserved open space.

Bring your preferred art supplies, water, sun protection, and anything else you need to work comfortably outdoors. If you are new to painting outdoors, feel free to reach out and we’ll connect you with a few helpful resources to help you determine what supplies to bring.

Be sure to arrive no later than 8:55am to get through the gate. Continue straight down the dirt road, passing the barns on your left, until you see cars parked on your right (in front of the Gathering House).

We hope you’ll join us for a morning of art, nature and creative community!
