Wow, what a beautiful journey it's been arriving at Aunty's House 1st Anniversary milestone! đĨšÂ
Over the past 12 months, weâve hosted 5 incredible events and 4 healing workshopsâ from music, movement and art to open conversations, weâve loved nurturing these spaces centred on authentic cultural connection into existence.
The community's reception has been breathtaking; our first year saw us featured in RNZ, Metro Magazine, Sauce Mag, and the Auckland City Library Exhibition. We are so honoured by the recognition of this mahi. đ
Soooo, to celebrate this community movement, weâre hosting an extra special Chai Session â our biggest event to date with the most creative collaborations in one setting, featuring:
- ICONIC SOUTH ASIAN DJ LINEUP đ§Â // dedicated to exploring our intersectionality through sound
- LOCAL CRAFT BAZAAR đī¸Â //featuring merchant stalls showcasing local creative businesses
- GOOD VIBRATIONS â¨Â // and more!
Expect an unforgettable afternoon filled with music, culture, and high vibrational energy. Feel free to join us for part or all of the celebration!
DJ line up featuring talented artists such as GoldTooth, basmami, ØŲاŲاŲ اŲ ا (halalamama), Nam Chucks, DIMPRI and Char - full schedule, special collabs and Bazaar Stall Holders to be announced via Aunty's House Instagram đĨÂ

This is an event run by and intended for *BIPOC to find community and connectionâa vibrant celebration of diverse artistic expressions that promises to leave you inspired and culturally enriched.
Aunty's House are all about creating epic safer spacesâboth in real life and onlineâfor us to reclaim our culture, build pride, and support each other. This event is a chosen family affair where you can show up as your authentic self, everyone's got each other's back. đģ  All who attend and perform agree to Aunty's House Safer Space Agreements because we believe we have an important part to play in curating a society and community that we are proud to be part of đ¯Â â¨Â Â
