What is included in this Experience?

Cacao 🍄🌱

Cacao ceremonies are helpful for getting clarity, setting intentions, and doing healing work & inner-processing. Being in a sacred space helps you get out of your normal frame of mind, allowing you to experience new insights & perspectives. Depending on the intention of the ceremony they can also be wonderful places to connect with people in a safe, open-hearted environment.

Sharing cacao brings us into the same energetic frequency. This often results in deeper more intimate connection with ourselves and each other. When multiple people share cacao together, we have a shared experience of mood elevation, increased vitality, enhanced intuition and empathy, and a more open, present heart.

BREATHWORK 🌬🍃

The science of how breathing can combat inflammation, improve your mood, and get you (slightly) high.

Breathwork is any practice in which we consciously manipulate our breath over a period of time for a desired outcome.
Breathwork is not meditation or yoga, though it can be a component of each one.
It has its origins in ancient rituals. Most notably from Pranayama (literally meaning “controlling the breath” — Sanskrit) in Yoga from the ancient Vedic texts from India.
Pranayama has over 50 techniques of controlling the breath — each meant for a specific purpose.
Common ones you may know from yoga class → Ujjayi Breath, Breath of Fire, Belly Breathing.
Today, breathing exercises have evolved into a modern practice that can be done on its own (without yoga or meditation).
Breathwork practices manipulate the breath through different patterns, lengths, and repetitions of inhalation, exhalation, and retention (holding your breath).

In fast breathing (Examples: Wim Hof breathing, holotropic breathwork, breath of fire, modern breathwork studios & classes, hyperventilation), you can feel a little high!

The science explains it this way: The more oxygen we take in, the less we can deliver to our tissues (Bohr Effect). 🤯 Within 1 minute of hyperventilation, blood vessels in the brain constrict and reduces blood flow and oxygen delivery to the brain by 40%. Slight oxygen deprivation = lightheaded / high feeling. (Similar to what happens at high altitude)

The theoretical conclusion is that Holotropic Breathwork can induce very beneficial temperament changes, which can have positive effects on development of character, measured as an increase in self-awareness.

I have been inspired and connected to several indigenous cultures for years and been fortunate enough to learn from their wisdom and ways of life. I continue to seek out leaders and elders to gain knowledge and understanding of their customs, traditions and teachings.

These breathing techniques are tools for major transformation and healing. Breathwork encompasses a broad range of whole-being therapeutic practices and exercises used to relieve mental, physical, and/or emotional tension.

I have also undertaken multiple other Breathwork modalities and healing trainings including Jon Paul Crimmi as seen on GMA, HAY House (Heal), Daniel Pauro and Dan Brule

I would like to acknowledge and pay respects to the land and the traditional families of the Yugambeh Region of Sth East QLD where I practice. Including the Kombumerri, Munujali, Wangerriburra and other Mobs, their elders past and present.

I have learned from and continue to learn from our very own indigenous culture - Our First Nations people. The more I delve into our own rich history of wisdom and understanding. My connection to the land, dreamtime and our people widens and fills my heart.

🪘 Given that everything has a vibrational frequency, including ourselves, it makes sense that sound frequencies impact how we feel. That’s why particular songs and types of music often bring about specific types of emotions from us. Sound Journey, which is an ancient healing technique that uses tonal frequencies to bring the body into a state of vibrational balance and harmony, plays upon this as well.

So, how does it work? During a sound journey session, also known as a sound bath, you’ll typically lie down on the floor or a yoga mat, and simply listen as I play a variety of instruments and you “bathe” in the soothing sounds and vibrations. As a certified sound healing practitioner, I describe it as a “meditative acoustic sound concert.” The sound frequencies then slow down brain waves to a deeply restorative state, which activates the body’s system of self-healing.

🧘🏽‍♂️ Participants allow me to guide them into a deep full body relaxing meditation. They are transported while their mind and soul dance together to create a fully immersive experience - that is hard to put into words. ⁣

🕉⁣ If you are so inclined- You can Allow yourself to let the week fall away and enjoy being bathed by a selection of sacred sounds. This really is one of the most beautiful parts of the journey - which keep participants coming back for more.⁣
