Aurora 2026
Description
Aurora: Tasmania’s Regional Burn | 18 – 23 November 2026
Peoples Art Collective Tasmania Inc. (PACT) invites you to be part of something extraordinary.
After the spark of our first gathering, Sparkadia in April 2024, we ignited the flame with Aurora in 2025. Now we return in 2026 to build something even bigger together.
A Burn is a participatory community gathering where everyone contributes. It is organised, built, run, made magical, and then returned again to nothing by the people who attend. This is not a festival. A Burn is as great as we make it together.
Build a sound stage. Share your art. Run a workshop. Flip pancakes for strangers. Volunteer on Gate. Or simply arrive with curiosity and generosity and see what unfolds.
However you choose to contribute, your presence helps shape the event.
We will gather at a spacious site about one hour north east of Hobart, with plenty of room for camping, art, and creative expression.
Radical Self Reliance is essential. Bring everything you need to survive and thrive including shelter, food, water, lighting, and warm clothing. There will be no shops, food vendors, or anything for sale on site.
Tickets will be released in three stages (or until sold out):
First Release: April - 30 June
Second Release: 1 July - 31 August
Final Release: 1 September - 17 November
Please note that if you plan to bring your car, you will also need to purchase a vehicle pass
Buying your ticket early is one of the easiest ways to support the event. Early ticket sales help us plan infrastructure, safety, and logistics.
There are several other ways to get involved and stay connected:
Sign up to volunteer for specific shifts
Fill out this Theme Camp form if you have an idea you would like to bring, make or do
Come to our monthly Burning Pub in Hobart - held every third Thursday - where ideas, inspiration, and laughter flow freely
Please read our Ticketing Terms and Conditions before you purchase your tickets.
Let’s co-create magic. Let’s build Aurora.
